A divisional trade mark application is a new application that is divided out of your original trade mark application, otherwise known as your ‘parent’ application.
Some reasons why you would file a divisional application are:
The parent application must be pending at the time a divisional application is filed and the goods/services which are forming the divisional application must still be present in the parent application at the time of filing.
